All About Julia Ruggirello...

Julia Ruggirello (she/her/hers) is a 22 year old musical theater performer originally from Clarkston, Michigan.

She recently graduated from Kent State University's BFA Musical Theater Program in May 2024 and is currently an Acting Apprentice at Florida Studio Theatre in Sarasota, Florida. She enjoys her free time spending time with her dog Pedro, listening to Taylor Swift and cooking pasta.

Recent credits include: Junie B Jones in Junie B Jones The Musical at Florida Studio Theatre directed by Caroline Salidvar, Alexi Darling and Maureen U/S in KSU's production of RENT directed by Amy Fritsche, Soupy Sue in KSU's production of URINETOWN directed by Danny George, Teach for America Girl in Kent State University's Corktown, and Featured Dancer in Kiss Me, Kate! at People's Bank Theater.

TEACHING

Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I was a day camp counselor for 3 summers and I spent summer of 2022 assisting and being the student mentor for the Porthouse Academy, a 3-6 week long program for incoming students in the Theatre/Muscial programs at Kent State University.

FAMILY

I have a very large Italian family which is a really important part of my life. I have about 40 family members on each side of the family so holidays are always a big celebration.

PEDRO

Pedro is my 7 year old bichon-poodle mix who my family rescued from a neglected home at a shelter almost 5 years ago. He is very shy around new people but is super close to our family and is a lap dog who enjoys taking naps, walks, and snuggles. He is my best friend.
